   Jsou to opravdu jen zbytky hradu :D výhled skoro žádný, na místě je postavený kostel.

   Pokud bych dopředu nevěděl o existenci hradu, nevšimnul bych si na vrcholu kopce nad obcí žádných reliktů. Podařilo se mi na chvilku si promluvit s obyvatelkou jednoho z přilehlých rodinných domů, která mi prozradila, že se v jejich sklepě doposud ukrývá několik stavebních zbytků. Počátky hradu spadají do 14. století, kdy těžba stříbra zapříčinila vznik Skalice. Podle archeologických nálezů byl hradní kopec osídlen již počátkem 13. století, hrad však vznikl nejspíše až za Ctibora ze Skalice, připomínaného v roce 1361. První písemná zmínka o hradu je až z roku 1402, kdy byl dobyt a vypálen císařem Zikmundem. Poslední zmínka o zbytcích hradu je v urbáři Sázavského kláštera z roku 1677. V roce 1730 začala přímo v prostoru bývalého hradního nádvoří stavba kostela sv. Jana Nepomuckého, na jehož stavbu bylo rozebráno pozůstalé zdivo zaniklého hradu, které ještě nestačili obyvatelé města rozebrat na opravu svých domů.
