Obec se skládá ze dvou původních sídel - severního Šeberova a jižní části Hrnčíře, které vznikly za vlády Přemyslovců a měly hlavně zemědělský charakter. K roku 1382 byla ves v držení syna zemřelého Všebora ze Všeborova Michala. Od jeho jména byl později odvozen název vsi Šeberov. První zmínka o Šeberově je právě z tohoto roku, o Hrnčířích z roku 1412. Od 12. do 15. století patřily řádu křižovníků. V 19. století byly obě obce připojeny k Chodovu, ku Praze pak 1. července 1974. Dnes tu žije kolem 3 000 obyvatel. The village consists of two original settlements - northern Šeberov and the southern part of Hrnčíře, which were founded during the reign of the Přemyslids and had mainly agricultural character. By 1382, the village was in the possession of the son of the deceased Všebor of Všeborov, Michal. The name of the village Šeberov was later derived from his name. The first mention of Šeberov is from this year, and of Hrnčíře village from 1412. From the 12th to the 15th century it belonged to the Crusader Order. In the 19th century both villages were annexed to Chodov, then to Prague on 1 July 1974. Today there are about 3,000 inhabitants here.
